TO: High School Seniors

The St. Elizabeth of Hungary Knights of Columbus Council 10373 is pleased to announce the sponsorship of six (6) college scholarships of $500 each for any graduating senior from high school. The grandparent, parent or guardian and the student/child must be a registered parishioner at St Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. The graduate must be attending post-secondary education (four-year, two-year, community college, trade school, etc.) in the 2025-2026 academic year. Scholarship total is $500 toward college tuition or course books with receipt from your academic institution, submitted to KC treasurer for reimbursement. Please email your completed application to Charlie Torres at [email protected] or submit your completed application to the main church office in a sealed envelope by, April 15, 2025. Applicants must make sure through email response that I have confirmed their application has been successfully submitted to me. Selection of recipients will be made by May 5, 2025.

REQUIREMENT:

• You and your family must be registered parishioners at St. Elizabeth of Hungary in Pflugerville, Tx.
• Attending post-secondary education (four-year, two-year, community college, trade school, etc.) in 2025-2026 academic year.
• Complete K of C Council 10373 scholarship application.
• Attach (1) one letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, or counselor.
• Attach a copy of your original transcript

CRITERIA: Provide a brief and concise (250 words or less) response to each (5) question.

• What volunteer service at St. Elizabeth parish or in the community at large are you involved in? (volunteer service at St. Elizabeth parish is preferred but not a requirement)
• How has your Catholic faith prepared you to reach your academic and career goals?
• How can you help the Catholic church connect with the youth now and in the future?
• Please give an example of a challenge or obstacle you have faced and what did you learn about yourself from this experience?
• What are your educational plans and goals?
