1. Behavior: Bullying and/or aggressive, threatening or violent acts will not be tolerated.
2. Illegal Items: Drugs, alcohol, weapons or other illegal items will not be tolerated. If a teen is found possessing these items, the police will be called first and then the parent.
3. Cell Phones: Cell Phones are not to be seen or used during Confirmation class or Mayhem. If a teen brings a cell phone, it must be put away from the time we gather until closing prayer in small groups.
a. Teen who use their phones will have their phones collected and returned at the end of class.
b. If a teen will not release their cell phone after violation of the cell phone rule, their parent(s) will be notified to come and pick the student up.
c. Parents, please take the time to communicate this policy with your teen.
4. Respect: Respect is vital to creating an environment where one can grow in their faith. It is expected that teens respect the adult volunteers and their peers during youth events.
5. Leaving Early: Teens who sneak off campus or do not go to the proper location will have their parents called immediately.
a. If a teen does need to leave early for a family reason, the parent should come and check them out through one of the adult core team members. Teens will NOT be permitted to leave with without parental notification and consent prior to the end of session.
6. Physical affection: Teens who may have a significant other at youth events should be sure their conduct reflects a focus on their primary relationship with Jesus during youth events. Public displays of affection are not appropriate during youth events.
7. Notification: The Pastor and the teen’s parents will be notified if their teen is consistently violating the Code of Conduct.
DROP OFF
• Location: Parents dropping off students should do so at or around the covered drive area on the west side of the church. Please DO NOT drop off students in front of the REC or PMC as this creates too many places where traffic backs up and students are leaving cars or walking in front of vehicles.DURING CLASS
• Attendence: Students are NOT ALLOWED to leave the program area of the campus. This is normally the Parish Hall, but may also include the REC (for small groups) and the field areas in between. For the safety of the students, they MUST remain with the group.
