"For, amen I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain: Remove from hence hither, and it shall remove: and nothing shall be impossible to you." Matthew 17:19
This section of our website illustrates the many opportunities for prayer and spiritual growth both at St. Elizabeth and in the Universal Catholic Church. Prayer takes on many different forms from Scripture Study to Eucharistic Adoration to Retreats to Praise & Worship. No matter how you start your spiritual journey, prayer always starts with listening to God and each other.
BASIC TEACHINGS OF THE CATHOLIC FAITH
This spring we're excited to offer an introductory theology course for adults: Basic Teachings of the Catholic Faith, which will meet right here in the church on Monday nights from 7:00-9:00, beginning on January 13. The course will be taught by Fr. Doug, and will explore such topics as Faith and Revelation, the interpretation of Scripture, the creed, sacraments and liturgy, Christian morality, and spirituality and prayer. There is a modest fee for registration and books associated with the course, and registration will be online on the St. Elizabeth's website in the next few days. The course would also count towards level 1 catechist certification through the diocese.
